Would like for Host Families to share POSITIVE experiences in having an exchange student!

So I recreated my blog and again it is for the purpose of promoting student exchange.  Of course there are negative things that can happen during student exchange but the POSITIVE always out ways the negative.  I have been involved with student exchange for three years now and have met many families and would love for some of those families to share some of their positive experience with others.
If you can send me a message or a email I will include it in my blog: if you have any pictures to share also that would be awesome
I will share part of our family story also, but again there are so many things to share.

Plus if there are students who would be willing to share what they have gotten from student exchange that would be great also!
I can't wait to share with others about the experiences that everyone is having!

  1. Ok so I said I would come back later and share something with you. I am 32 years old and have dreamed since a little girl to me a mom. I have been married for almost 9 years to an amazing man and it just hasn't been God's will for us to have a child. Three years ago a teenager that used to spend lots of time at our house asked us to host a girl from China. Wow that ment I would be a mom, to a girl and not a baby a 16 year old girl from another country. I was so shocked that Shawn agreed but so excited. The scary part is I didn't know how to treat a girl that was 16 and from CHINA, I didn't know much about that country. I knew that was where the long wall was:) and that I loved chinese food. At that time I didn't even really ever think that Chinese food was any different. WOW was I in for a shock BUT IT WAS THE MOST AMAZING THING EVER, I was naturally a mom who would have thought. Jesus was so amazing, he gave that to me. I immediatly bonded with her and you know what we have a great relationship still, she attends college in Maine and she comes home on the Holidays. Wow she considers our home her home. This past christmas she gave me a card that touched my life it said she was a Webster. I miss her and wish she was here more often but each year we have a new student arrive and start a new adventure. I am now Mom to 5 kids and this coming year will be 6 and I will be Mom to another 16 year old girl. I am so amazed at all of the things that God had planned for our life. I wouldn't change any moment for anything. LOVE STUDENT EXCHANGE!
